Past Work

A healthtech startup needed to avoid being perceived in a specific political light. We leaned hard in the other direction and landed top-tier mainstream press. One journalist later gave an interview about the article she wrote based on our pitch, describing her initial political assumptions and how we had changed her mind.

Perception Design


A mental health association learned about a new service they deemed highly unsafe and unethical. We wrote a generalized, but pointed statement that guided journalists to the issue and the company in question, without our client being the central focus.

We guided a top entertainment agency through their client’s highly-public assault lawsuit, and actually improved brand equity and positive visibility in the process.


A legaltech startup had been hammered with negative press thanks to resistance from legacy players who were not happy about being ‘disrupted.’ We needed to set the record straight without upsetting industry gatekeepers. We chose a niche outlet for a ‘tell-all’ that delicately explained the innovation and why it was important, while reframing mistakes as startup growing pains. This allowed for a clean transition to a completely new brand.

Teresa helps leaders across Tech, Health and Culturally-Sensitive sectors shape the stories that define their industries. She helps businesses organically connect to current events and themes, and navigate sociopolitical complexities with clarity, integrity and grace.

Since 2011, Teresa’s career has spanned agency, in-house, and contract roles, and has brought her around the world — from eight years in New York City to one year in Mumbai, and four years in Tulsa, Oklahoma before landing in New Orleans.

Teresa has helped startups grow into billion-dollar brands; she’s curated high-minded dialogue for entertainment icons; impacted entire industries with her press outreach; and was among the very first PR professionals to work with brands and researchers in the emerging psychedelic medicine space.

She has also innovated within the PR industry as founder of Spiral5 - a PR ecosystem and careers platform she founded in 2020.
